Frequently, someone like to ask whether gas fired hot water boiler and electric hot water boiler have low operating costs. In fact, the running costs are closely related to the original cost of fuel. In general, the running costs of a gas fired hot water boiler will be lower. There are of course exceptions, such as power plants or other places where electricity is more convenient and cheaper.

Take an Australian user as an example. There is no main gas supply in the user's factory, if they need a gas fired hot water boiler, they need to rent bottled gas. In this case, the operating cost comparison is as following:

1) for 1 bottle LPG price: 70cents*412Litter/bottle=28840cent/bottle,  10290MJ=239*10290KCAL/BOTTLE=2459310kcal/bottle

    So that LPG unit price: 28840/2459310 cent/kcal=0.117cent/kcal

3)   we also should note for LPG FUEL, It is 2459310kcal/bottle, While the boiler need 312500kcal per hour, so that one bottle LPG only used for less than 8 hours.

For this user, the running cost is not much different. Considering that the customer will increase the solar system, the cost of electricity will be further reduced. Therefore, the customer chooses an electrical hot water boiler.
