Can two industrial steam boilers share a single steam header?
Is it possible for industrial steam boilers to share one steam header when they’re all running? Yes, of course it is. How to solve the question that the steam of the steam header will not backflow to the industrial steam boiler because of the different steam pressure of two or several industrial steam boilers running in the same time. We take the two industrial steam boiler running with one single steam header as an example to analyze this question. First, it should be the same steam pressure grade of the different industrial steam boilers and steam header which running together same time. Second, to ensure that the steam of the steam header will not backflow to the industrial steam boiler, we should to put non return valve for each steam inlet to prevent backflow of steam. Meanwhile, When the two boilers are running at the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the steam pressure of the steam header outlet is lower than the steam pressure of the boiler under the minimum steam pressure at work. Otherwise, if one of the steam pressure is lower than the outlet steam pressure of the steam header, the low pressure boiler steam will not be delivered to the steam header. In this way, two industrial steam boiler can share one single steam header. For the many industrial steam boilers’ running, it is same.
